My most pleasing performance was breaking the 3 hour mark for the first time in the Dublin marathon 2016, making it in for 2h 57m 25s. The Striders group set out a detailed training plan and with lots of support and guidance from them I managed to complete all the sessions and remained injury free throughout. I felt elated when I crossed the finish line and realised the infamous three-hour barrier had been broken.
Training with the club has helped me discover my potential. The camaraderie, the steady runs and of course the really tough sessions, have all worked together to significantly improve my times.
